Lindiana's School of Dance

Classes

Students are placed according to skill level and technique. Our teachers are specifically trained to assess the student's level in order to ensure they are in the proper learning environment. Dance classes are not the same as grade level, and it is normal for a student to repeat a level if necessary.

Fall Dance Schedule

Dress Code

Jazz /Musical Theatre
Any colored leotard (no attached skirts or unitards). Tan or Black footless or stirrup tights. Dance shorts may be used. Proper Jazz shoes which will be listed for each class.

Ballet
Any colored leotard (no attached skirts or unitards). Pink footed tights. Pink split sole canvas ballet slippers with the elastics sewn. Ballet warm ups such as leg-warmers may be used in the beginning of class. Hair must be worn in a tightly gelled bun.

Tap
Any colored leotard (no attached skirts or unitards). Black Jazz pants. Proper tap shoes. Bring extra shoelaces as they may snap at anytime with wear and tear.

Lyrical
Any colored leotard (no attached skirts or unitards). Tan or Black footless or stirrup tights. Dance shorts may be used. Tan Foot undies.

Modern/ Afro-Caribbean
Any colored leotard (no attached skirts or unitards). Tan or Black footless or stirrup tights. Dance shorts may be used. Bare feet.

Hip-Hop
Comfortable and appropriate street clothes. Shirts that expose the midriff and jeans are prohibited. Sneakers that are worn in the studio only. No street shoes allowed.

Dress Code Notes

Hair must be pulled back neatly away from the face. Earrings and jewelry are not allowed. Stud earrings may be worn. Undergarments are not to be used under leotards and tights. Socks are not to be used with ballet, tap, or jazz shoes because it breaks the line of the leg. It is recommended that your child brings a dance bag with extra tights, leotard, hair accessories etc.
